When Apple releases updates to the Apple Store app, it usually offers users the ability to download a premium app or game for free over a certain period of time.
Last month, Apple rolled out the long-awaited version 5.0 update to the iOS version of the Apple Store. It introduced a range of changes to the user experience of the app.
Most of these changes were aimed at creating a “more personal, relevant in-store experience” for Apple customers.
For instance, you can access a new “Sessions” tab, where you can find out more about events happening in your nearest Apple outlet.
But as MacRumors reports, if you head over to the “Discover” tab, you can download puzzler game Starman: Tale of Light completely for free.
Usually, it costs $3.99 in the App Store, so you’re saving a bit of cash.
In the game, you’re exposed to a range of easy to difficult puzzles set within architectural settings. Essentially, the more stages you get through, the harder the games become.
“In this visually stunning game with breathtaking architectural scenery, you guide Starman through delicate atmospheres and solve elaborate puzzles,” reads the app description.
“No two puzzles are ever the same, so the challenges are always new. Soothing music and haptic feedback enhance the immersive experience further.”
So far, 700+ people have written reviews of the game, and it’s achieved an average rating of 4.8/5 stars. Clearly, Apple sees a lot of potential in this game and is giving it a slight push.
How to Download
It’s worth noting this offer will expire on June 15th, 2018.
